Pese a que tiene Chef personal con cargo al erario, el secretario de Economía, Gerardo Ruiz Mateos, come en restaurantes y con un séquito de guaruas, dio a conocer la columna "Templo mayor" del diario Reforma.

SDPnoticias.com dio a conocer el pasado 9 de enero que Ruiz Mateos cuenta con un Chef personal como parte del personal de la secretaría de economía que recibe un sueldo neto mensual de 14 mil pesos más prestaciones.

De acuerdo con Reforma "se metió a un lugar especializado en manjares italianos, a más de un comensal se le atragantaron los espaguetis ante la intimidatoria presencia de tantos guaruras". Esto ocurrió en un restaurante de la colonia Condesa, en el Distrito Federal, de acuerdo con el diario.

El Chef personal de Ruiz Mateos, de nombre Juan Ávila Acosta, aparece listado en el sitio de internet del IFAI como "Cheff del C. Secretario de Economía" y tiene como cargo "Jefe de Departamento."
